Five weeks to go until the Curve of the Corridor launch and… we still don’t have a place for the party. It looks like it might be online only (again). My publisher and I have reached out to various places over the summer but have gotten absolute crickets back. There’s a new bookstore in my neighbourhood that’s opened up, that I am going to try, and we’re “under review” at the Merril Library, which apparently recently revamped its launch process, making it more complicated. Hopefully they get back to us soon. Hopefully this is all Mercury Retrograde1 nonsense and will clear up after the 23rd. Hopefully.

In the meantime, to stave off the disappointment, I’m working on designing some bookmarks as launch party promo pieces, and a poster, should we ever get a location. (And I’ll adapt both for social media, of course.)

And I am updating this here website. I left it alone for years whilst depressed? unsure? on a break? but I am back. Sadly a lot of links didn’t last, so I am having to get out my machete and hack through the weeks and the detritus. In some cases this means just updating a link (as for CotD and Blackout Odyssey). In most other cases, I need to fix depreciated WP code, and/or it’s been long enough that I think I can just post the story myself now2.

I’ll keep a list here and update it as I go; that seems to be the easiest way to keep tabs on everything.

Fiction List Updates

  2. That involves checking a contract. Which first involves finding the contract. Or checking if the publisher is even around any more. ↩︎
