Now that the ink has finally dried, I can announce some FANTASTIC news:

BLACKOUT ODYSSEY FOUND A PUBLISHER!

Brain Lag, out of Milton, ON, was my 128th query. Remember all those posts where I said I was giving up and sticking it in a drawer? Yeah well I didn’t. I definitely continued on, mostly out of stubbornness and spite, and finally, finally, after a year and a half of rejections, I got a yes!

Mid-July, I came across this twitter thread from Ellen Michelle (@ellen_mic):

I am deeply saddened by the closing of @BundoranPress. They did excellent work and helped publish amazing Canadian authors. They closed because it's really hard to be a small press, especially now. THREAD.

In that thread was a goldmine of small presses I’d never heard of, that had never reached my googling fingers, and I eagerly opened all of them to see if any were a fit for Space Crazies or BOO, and I’m glad I did. Catherine at Brain Lag replied very quickly with a request for the full MS, and two months later, here we are!

BOO HAS A HOME.
