Remember all those posts where I said I was giving up and sticking it in a drawer? Yeah well I didn&#8217;t. I definitely continued on, mostly out of stubbornness and spite, and finally, <em>finally<\/em>, after a year and a half of rejections, I got a yes!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mid-July, I came across this twitter thread from Ellen Michelle  (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.twitter.com\/ellen_mic\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">@ellen_mic<\/a>):<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed-twitter wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">I am deeply saddened by the closing of @BundoranPress. They did excellent work and helped publish amazing Canadian authors. They closed because it&#39;s really hard to be a small press, especially now. THREAD.<\/p>&mdash; Ellen Forget (@ellen_mic) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/ellen_mic\/status\/1283440884135030784?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">July 15, 2020<\/a><\/blockquote><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In that thread was a goldmine of small presses I&#8217;d never heard of, that had never reached my googling fingers, and I eagerly opened all of them to see if any were a fit for Space Crazies or BOO, and I&#8217;m glad I did.
