What is time? The 2020 pandemic has thrown all sense of normal out the window, but even a pandemic can&#8217;t stop another birthday from coming and a new <a href=\"https:\/\/victoriafeistner.com\/2019\/03\/05\/feistner-fiscal-year\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"1152\">FFY<\/a> from arriving.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In some ways, my usual post-birthday post seems undoable this year. Did I do anything? It feels like I didn&#8217;t, like I shut down for the first 8 months of the year. But that&#8217;s the exact reason I wanted to do this post&#8211;to remind myself of everything that I <em>did<\/em> accomplish, depression &amp; pandemic &amp; all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This past year I:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>published <em><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Creampuffs-Victoria-Feistner\/dp\/1687758956\/ref=sr_1_1\" target=\"_blank\">Creampuffs<\/a> <\/em>to Amazon<\/li><li>visited the UK for the first time since I was a child<\/li><li>finished editing Space Crazies<\/li><li>started putting together an anthology for G&amp;V with the Pillbug<\/li><li>created a query package for Space Crazies<\/li><li>hit 200 submissions by December 31st<\/li><li>sold two short stories in January<\/li><li>started editing <em>Fletcher &amp; Cooper<\/em><\/li><li>submitted over 50 queries for Space Crazies<\/li><li>sewed 100 masks to give away to friends, family &amp; community<\/li><li>designed &amp; launched <em><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/graceandvictory.ca\/afternoon.html\" target=\"_blank\">A Quiet Afternoon<\/a><\/em> for G&amp;V<\/li><li>marketed the shit out of <em>AQA<\/em> and actually made a profit inside a month<\/li><li>did 100 submissions in 8 months<\/li><li>cracked 100 rejections in 8 months<\/li><li>attended two zoom cons!<\/li><li>wrote two short stories (a bigger accomplishment than it sounds, given the pandemic)<\/li><li>renovated my home office<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It&#8217;s not a bad list. I really wanted to add &#8220;learned to rollerskate&#8221; to it but tsk tsk, I&#8217;ve been waiting for cooler weather so as to not, you know, die. It&#8217;ll be on the list for next year.
